Riso Jam Workshop: Button Making

Sliding Scale

DATES

Saturdays, 9:30am - 12:30pm

  • 3/16: Button Making

    • Make your own buttons! We’ll have templates for you to make a full page of designs, which we will cut then assemble into buttons.

WHAT WE’LL DO

Riso Jams are all ages (kid friendly!) workshops, where we will explore how a variety of mark-making materials translate into your very own risograph prints. Each workshop has a different theme and templates will be provided for you to create unique prints, like Halloween Masks, Magic Zines, Greeting/Holiday Cards, Postcards, Buttons, Paper Dolls, and more!

During the workshop, you will create a design using provided templates and then we will print your image from the glass bed scanner on the risograph. Each participant will take home an edition of 25 prints of their own design, plus one print from all of the workshop participants!

These hands-on workshops are designed for those who are curious about the possibilities of riso printing and who want to have fun making riso prints with fellow creators. No experience necessary!

All materials, including pens, pencils, markers, collage materials, paper, and templates, will be provided.

*These workshops are kid friendly, meaning that the young artist in your life is welcome (and encouraged) to join us for the fun. However, due to the nature of our studio, children 10 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

WORKSHOP FEE

We have a sliding scale structure and encourage you to pay what you can. There is separate pricing for ADULT ($60 - $90) and YOUTH ($35 - $55). All youth 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult, but the adult does not to pay if they are not making their own print.
