Master Roll Residency

Every other year, Paper Press Punch is pleased to support a resident artist in the creation of a new body of work. The resident works closely with us, learning the ins and outs of riso printing, culminating in a show during Georgetown's Art Attack.

Congrats to our 2019 Master Roll Resident Elaine Lin!

As the Master Roll Resident, Elaine will print and publish the first volume of comics and illustrations that details the anxiety and weird cultural oddities of moving from Seattle to LA for three months. It's a collection of vignettes that show the loneliness of moving to a new city alone, and being swept up into work that sucks you dry, while struggling with leaving your old life behind for a new life that seems worse. At the end of the residency, Elaine will have a show and book release in the studio for September Georgetown Art Attack.⁣

Our 2017 Master Roll Resident was Lauren Armstrong
